GUN FITTING
At Carl Russell & Co we offer the service of gun fitting both in store by appointment or with a qualified shooting instructor at a local shooting ground.
In both instances we can assess how your gun fits you. Be it a modern over & under or a traditional side by side we can inspect, advise and if necessary carry out the adjustments required to suit your desired shooting discipline.
Fitting sessions in store need to be booked in advance so we can ensure we have the time necessary to see you mount your gun and for us to advise you on what alterations can/ should be made. Fitting sessions at a local shooting school with a qualified instructor again need to booked in advance but allow the use of a try gun where gunfit can be assessed on a pattern plate and various different targets. In our view, shooting the gun is by far the best way for us to obtain the most accurate set of measurements to apply to your shotgun
All alterations are carried out in house in our on-site workshops where we can alter the stock dimensions, comb height, cast on/off, balance, fit recoil pads, leather covered recoil pads and bead variations.
